Playgroups

[Playgroups] [Mom's Night Out] [Dad's Night Out]

Playgroups are a great way for kids to develop social skills and to learn from others while having fun. They offer parents the opportunity to share experiences, meet new friends, and take a break from the usual routine. Many LPA members participate in age-specific playgroups that meet at families' homes on a rotating basis and/or local playgrounds. Openings are available in some playgroups, and we are launching new playgroups to get future classmates together!

To find a playgroup, please send an email to LPAplaygroups@gmail.com and include the age of your child (or children), and your preferred days and times. We will then match together as many people as possible. You must be an LPA member to participate in a playgroup.

Here are the playgroups we currently offer:

  • Infant I (0 - 6 months)
  • Infant II (6 - 12 months)
  • Toddler I (12 - 18 months)
  • Toddler II (18-24 months)
  • Toddler III (2 - 3 years old)
  • Preschooler I (3 to 4 years old)
  • Preschooler II (4 to 5 years old)
  • Kindergarten (5 to 6 years old)
  • Working Mom's Playgroup (multi-age)

Siblings are welcome!  Because some of our participating families are a bit large, we aim to have approximately 5 families per playgroup.

Contact the LPA's playgroup coordinator if you are interested in joining a playgroup.

In January, My School Cooperative Nursery school will begin offering teacher facilitated playgroups at the school. Please review this flyer for more information.
